BP21: Farewell (OR, Is it?) 😉

Financial Results

6 September 2019

Time Flies. It's time to wrap up the narration of my journey thus far in Flormiere.

But before I discuss our future plans, please read the financial report which I've calculated, written up and discussed in the document below. This document has also been posted in the team blog.

However, due to the sensitive nature of the numbers, You'll need privilege to see the full writeup of this document:

Is this the end of Flormiere?

Short Answer: Well, not really!

While we won't be as involved with the business (due to the hassles of uni or working life), In the short run, we aim to sell out our current inventory of Finished products and DIY Kits.

We may also produce more products based on the raw materials that we still have, and will re-sell raw materials which are in "new" condition but not needed at this time (e.g. the mason jar lights, which have been listed on Shopee).

In the long run, we may carry on the business as a "re-creational business". Some of us (me included), would make new products and designs available when we have the inspiration and time to do it.

So, If you haven't done so, Follow us on the Following Web Pages and social media accounts, we will update them as long as this business lives!

It has been a great journey overall with this team of mine, I have got to practice some of what I've learnt in Marketing and Financial accounting, and learnt alot about start-up, sourcing, finance tracking and even the proper way of creating a website within the short 3-4 months in this business. I even got to be an engineer for abit again (while playing with the lights and trying to string them up together for the business showcase 😂)

You may notice my posts cover many aspects of activities related to not just finance, but I was also involved in Marketing and Sourcing. This is because I believe in T.E.A.M - Together, Everyone Achieves More. I help with key activities, and everyone learns together too. It's the general culture of Flormiere :)

I'm sure my friends in this group have also learnt alot from this experience too.

I wish the next batch of MIE Students a fruitful journey as well. I hope you have had fun reading my blog and experience sharing!

P.s. If you are in MIE and are interested in our business, feel free to contact us on social media. Who knows, our group might be able to work something out.

Have a Great Day Ahead, and Thanks for Reading! :)
